About Us

Dr Ebrahim Fakir matriculated in Cape Town in 1999 and completed his dental undergraduate degree at the University of the Western Cape (summa cum laude) in 2004. He was also awarded the SADA Gold medal for first place in class.

In 2005, he began working at the University of the Western Cape in the department of Oral Medicine and Periodontology. In 2007 he started work at the Department of Maxillo-Facial and Oral Surgery at Groote Schuur hospital, before commencing his registrar training at Groote Schuur, Tygerberg and Red Cross hospitals in 2009.

He completed his Master's Degree in 2014 (cum Laude) and was awarded the College of medicines of South Africa's CMSA gold medal in May 2014 when he completed the FCMFOS(SA) degree, as well as the SASMFOS/KLS Martin research award for his thesis. He has a keen interest in Implantology, Temporomandibular joint disorders, Orthognathic surgery and facial trauma.

He has undergone numerous international post graduate training programmes in advanced implant planning and placement as well as in Arthroscopic TMJ surgery.

Ebrahim enjoys playing squash and running. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
